We have lost not just our values and principles but also our conscience. Do we no longer know what is right and wrong..?!
And dont even get me started on what is right and wrong, you can decide foryourself....
from whee I see it...PREMARITAL SEX is wrong. So are physical relationships taht you have no intent of legalizing, and so are a million things the 'youth' of our nation is indulging in.

I completed college in 2001, for God's sake its just been 4 years! Did Paksitan morph into something while I was away?! Yes, it all existed at that time but it was still considered bad. Nothing, and I do mena nothing is eyebrow raisingmaterial anymore....its all ok....sabh "chill hai"

..why blame the kids. I don't know about others but when I was growing up the opportunities for getting laid at 16 just weren't given to us. Parental supervision prevented ,in most cases, any thing more adventurous than groping sessions. I spoke to an 18 year old recently who told me his parents were cool with him being absent from home for upto 3 days...parents give less of a fuck it seems... can you blame the kids. really?

i said anythong !!! haha, i make such wierd typos. Khair, thing is, the parents these days belong to a generation that was less morally steadfast then thier own parents. I guess that is what makes them poor at inculcating islamic values in thier children. But you know u are probably absolutely right to a great extent.
But, in my own experience i have found the children of God fearing parents are more or atleast just as keen on exploring the wild side. I don't really blame anyone, its just the way society is progressing. Or regressing, depending on which way you choose to guage this....
fact is that more and more people are getting laid. I suppose there is some comfort to be garnished form teh fact that more often than naught it is consentual sex rather than legalised yet enforced sex between 13 year old girls and thier 50 year old horny pedophile husbands. We after all, belong to a culture that for teh longest time has heralded such barbaric customs as being forthright and just. Even now, and even in educated circles, 16-17 isn't deemed too young an age to rid a family of the responsibility of a daughter.
We are basically a society of sickos, in more ways than one. And i figure if by embracing sexuality openly we can somehow garnish some degree of release from archaic conceptualism, than so be it. It seems rather futile to hope that we can return to piety from now so lets focus on material and social success instead...

i have to agree with you on those being from conservative famalies being more prone to unbridled exploration of all they've been taught to stay away from. That having been said i feel that conservatism implemented with words and less use of a stick is the best bet...ok now i think i'll shutup and stop abusing this space : )

hahahh expr. you sound like i did 2 yrs ago when i realized that people around me (pakistanis at that *gasp*shock*) were having sex before marriage.. but then i was from an overly naive batch :P..anyho0o the shock may have worn off but the overall state of affairs, not just at sex but at the drug abuse and even moreso at everyone's apathy or denial at the daymn situation still freaks the crap out of me!!For the younger ones absolutly nothing is a big deal anymore..and for their parents obviously their angels arnt involved in anything so no big deals there either..
i totally agree with beknighted...generations move fast some experiment some dont but at least there needs to be awareness that shit is blatantly going on ...to be able to at least deal with the shit that follows it be it teenagers oding or getting pregnant or even worse .... how can things be so fucking taboo and blase at the same is seriously beyond me .... :S
i could go on abt this for a while but i wont :) ..dont wanna scare off wannbe commenters like beknighted already has im sure ... heheh jk. ;)
